Privacy Policy

PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: August 7, 2026
Last Updated: August 7, 2026

Win A Cash Prize (“WACP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of individuals who visit WinACashPrize.com, register for WACP promotions, participate in The Cash Call or Mining Madness, communicate with WACP, or otherwise use our services.

This Privacy Policy explains how WACP collects, uses, discloses, protects, retains and otherwise handles personal information.

By providing personal information to WACP, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, WACP will obtain the appropriate consent.

1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through WinACashPrize.com and in connection with WACP contests, promotions, registrations, Cash Calls, prize administration, communications and related business activities.

WACP handles personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Canadian privacy principles require organizations to identify their purposes, obtain appropriate consent, limit collection, use, disclosure and retention, implement appropriate safeguards, maintain openness, and provide individuals with access to their information.

2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

Depending upon how you interact with WACP, we may collect information such as:

  • First and last name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • City;
  • Province or territory;
  • Age or confirmation that you have reached the age of majority;
  • Registration information;
  • Contest participation history;
  • Cash Call participation and responses;
  • Winner and prize information;
  • Communications with WACP;
  • Consent and communication preferences;
  • Information voluntarily provided through forms, surveys or promotions;
  • Website usage and technical information; and
  • Information reasonably necessary for eligibility and winner verification.

Potential winners may also be required to provide additional information necessary to verify identity, residency, age and eligibility and to facilitate prize payment.

WACP will seek to limit its collection of personal information to information reasonably necessary for identified purposes.

3. HOW WACP COLLECTS INFORMATION

Personal information may be collected when you:

  • Register with WACP;
  • Enter a WACP contest or promotion;
  • Participate in a Cash Call;
  • Complete a form or survey;
  • Communicate with WACP;
  • Claim or receive a prize;
  • Provide marketing or sponsor consent;
  • Subscribe to communications; or
  • Use WinACashPrize.com.

Certain technical information may also be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies as described below.

4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

WACP may use personal information for purposes reasonably connected with operating WACP and administering its promotions, including:

  • Processing registrations;
  • Administering Mining Madness and other promotions;
  • Creating eligible participant pools;
  • Randomly selecting Cash Call participants;
  • Contacting selected participants;
  • Conducting Cash Calls;
  • Verifying participant eligibility;
  • Administering skill-testing requirements;
  • Preventing duplicate or fraudulent registrations;
  • Confirming and verifying winners;
  • Processing and delivering prizes;
  • Responding to inquiries and customer-service requests;
  • Maintaining Website security;
  • Detecting fraud or misuse;
  • Maintaining records required for legal or regulatory purposes;
  • Improving WACP services and Website functionality; and
  • Complying with applicable law.

WACP will not use personal information for a new purpose requiring consent without obtaining appropriate additional consent, unless otherwise permitted or required by law. This reflects the federal privacy principle that information generally should only be used or disclosed for its identified purposes unless the individual consents otherwise or law permits it.

SPONSOR INFORMATION & MARKETING

5. DISCLOSURE TO PARTICIPATING WACP SPONSORS

One of WACP’s features is connecting interested participants with companies participating as WACP sponsors.

Where a participant provides the applicable express consent, WACP may use and disclose specified participant information to participating WACP sponsors for the purposes identified when consent is obtained.

Depending upon the consent provided, this information may include:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • City;
  • Province or territory; and
  • Interests, preferences or other information specifically identified in the consent request.

Participating sponsors may use information disclosed to them for purposes disclosed to the participant, which may include:

  • Investor-awareness communications;
  • Corporate news and updates;
  • Marketing and promotional communications;
  • Information regarding the sponsor’s business;
  • Products or services;
  • Future promotions; and
  • Other communications specifically described when consent is obtained.

Because disclosure to sponsors for their independent marketing may fall outside what someone would reasonably expect merely from entering a contest, WACP intends to obtain express consent for such disclosure. Federal privacy guidance says express consent generally should be used when a disclosure falls outside an individual’s reasonable expectations.

6. SPONSOR CONSENT IS OPTIONAL

Consent to disclosure of personal information to participating sponsors for independent marketing or promotional purposes is optional where that disclosure is not necessary to administer the Contest.

A participant is not required to consent to sponsor marketing or sponsor disclosure in order to enter or win an eligible WACP contest.

Declining optional sponsor consent will not reduce a participant’s chances of being randomly selected or winning a prize.

WACP may nevertheless disclose information where reasonably necessary to administer a contest, fulfill a prize, comply with law or for another purpose permitted without consent under applicable law.

7. WHAT SPONSORS MAY DO WITH INFORMATION

Once information has been lawfully disclosed to an independent participating sponsor with the participant’s consent, that sponsor may be responsible for its own handling of the information.

Sponsors are expected to comply with applicable Canadian privacy and electronic-marketing laws and the scope of the consent provided.

Participants should review the privacy policies of individual sponsors before providing information directly to those companies.

WACP does not authorize participating sponsors to use WACP-provided personal information for purposes materially beyond the scope of the applicable participant consent.

8. WACP MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where WACP has the required consent or other lawful authority, WACP may communicate with participants regarding:

  • WACP news;
  • Future contests;
  • Cash Call opportunities;
  • Mining Madness;
  • Sponsor information;
  • Promotions;
  • Website updates; and
  • Other WACP products or services.

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation generally requires commercial electronic messages to have an appropriate basis for consent and to include sender identification and a working unsubscribe mechanism.

Participants may unsubscribe from applicable commercial electronic communications at any time.

9. SPONSOR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Consent for WACP to disclose information to a sponsor does not eliminate any independent legal obligations applicable to that sponsor’s subsequent communications.

Participating sponsors are responsible for ensuring that their use of participant information complies with applicable privacy and electronic-marketing requirements.

WACP will structure its registration consent to clearly explain the intended disclosure and communications.

CONTEST INFORMATION

10. MINING MADNESS

The Mining Madness — Cash Call Contest is scheduled to operate from October 1 through October 31, 2026.

WACP may use participant information to administer the Contest, including random participant selection, Cash Calls, eligibility verification, skill-testing requirements, winner verification and prize fulfillment.

The final participating sponsors, Cash Call schedule and corresponding prize information are scheduled to be published on September 16, 2026.

11. CASH CALL RECORDINGS

WACP may record Cash Calls where permitted by applicable law for legitimate purposes such as:

  • Contest administration;
  • Winner verification;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Security;
  • Quality assurance; and
  • Resolving disputes.

Where additional consent is required to use a Cash Call recording for advertising, social media, publicity or other promotional purposes, WACP will obtain the applicable consent.

12. WINNER INFORMATION

Where permitted by law and subject to any required consent, WACP may publish limited information about verified winners, such as:

  • First name;
  • City and province/territory;
  • Prize amount; and
  • Contest won.

Additional use of a winner’s likeness, voice, photograph or Cash Call recording for promotional purposes will be subject to applicable consent requirements.

WEBSITE INFORMATION

13. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

WinACashPrize.com may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, understand Website usage, improve performance, prevent fraud and measure promotional activity.

Depending upon the technology and applicable law, users may be provided with options to control non-essential cookies.

Browser settings may also allow users to block or delete certain cookies, although doing so may affect Website functionality.

14. WEBSITE ANALYTICS

WACP may use service providers to help understand Website traffic, visitor interactions and campaign performance.

Where reasonably possible, WACP may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics and reporting.

15. AGGREGATED AND DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION

Subject to applicable law, WACP may create statistical, aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify an individual.

Such information may be used for:

  • Audience measurement;
  • Sponsor reporting;
  • Campaign analytics;
  • Business planning;
  • Advertising analysis;
  • Market research;
  • Website development; and
  • Business development.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

16. SERVICE PROVIDERS

WACP may use third-party service providers to perform functions on its behalf, such as:

  • Website hosting;
  • Database management;
  • Email delivery;
  • Telecommunications;
  • Contest administration;
  • Payment processing;
  • Analytics;
  • Security;
  • Professional services; and
  • Technical support.

Service providers may receive access to personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

WACP remains responsible for personal information under its control and should use appropriate contractual or other safeguards when third parties process information on its behalf.

17. LEGAL DISCLOSURES

WACP may disclose personal information where permitted or required by applicable law, including where reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to lawful court orders or legal processes;
  • Cooperate with regulators or law-enforcement authorities;
  • Investigate suspected fraud;
  • Protect WACP’s legal rights;
  • Protect participants or others;
  • Enforce WACP agreements or Contest Rules; or
  • Address security incidents.

18. BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS

Subject to applicable law, personal information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed corporate transaction involving WACP or its business, such as a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of business assets.

Where required, WACP will comply with applicable consent, confidentiality and notification requirements.

YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES

19. WITHDRAWING CONSENT

Where WACP relies upon consent, participants may withdraw that consent for future use or disclosure, subject to reasonable notice and applicable legal or contractual restrictions.

For example, a participant may withdraw consent to:

  • WACP marketing communications;
  • Disclosure to participating sponsors; or
  • Certain optional promotional uses.

Withdrawal of optional marketing or sponsor consent will not affect eligibility to participate in a WACP contest.

Withdrawal does not necessarily invalidate uses or disclosures lawfully made before consent was withdrawn.

20. UNSUBSCRIBING

Commercial electronic communications sent by WACP will include an unsubscribe mechanism where required by law.

The CRTC states that unsubscribe requests for commercial electronic messages must be acted upon within 10 business days.

Participants may also contact WACP directly at:

INFO@WINACASHPRIZE.COM

21. ACCESSING YOUR INFORMATION

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request information regarding the existence, use and disclosure of their personal information held by WACP and request access to that information.

Individuals may also challenge the accuracy and completeness of their personal information and request appropriate corrections.

These rights are part of the federal fair-information principles.

Requests may be sent to:

INFO@WINACASHPRIZE.COM

WACP may need to verify the requester’s identity before processing an access or correction request.

RETENTION & SECURITY

22. RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

WACP will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to satisfy applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and regulatory requirements.

Different categories of information may have different retention periods.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, WACP will securely delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to applicable law.

PIPEDA’s retention principle provides that personal information should only be kept as long as necessary for its identified purposes.

23. CONSENT RECORDS

WACP may maintain records demonstrating:

  • When consent was obtained;
  • The method used to obtain consent;
  • What the participant consented to;
  • Applicable consent language; and
  • When consent was subsequently withdrawn.

This is particularly important for electronic marketing because the sender bears responsibility for demonstrating the consent upon which it relies.

24. SECURITY SAFEGUARDS

WACP will use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information under its control.

These may include access controls, authentication, security procedures, restricted employee access, secure systems and appropriate contractual protections.

No Internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Canadian privacy guidance requires organizations to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification using safeguards appropriate to the information’s sensitivity.

25. PRIVACY AND SECURITY INCIDENTS

If WACP becomes aware of unauthorized access to, loss of or disclosure of personal information, WACP will investigate and take reasonable steps to contain and address the incident.

Where notification or reporting is required by applicable privacy law, WACP will take the required steps.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

26. CHILDREN AND MINORS

WACP contests are intended only for individuals who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence.

WACP does not knowingly accept Mining Madness registrations from individuals who do not satisfy the applicable age requirement.

27. INFORMATION OUTSIDE CANADA

Some WACP service providers may process or store information outside the participant’s province or outside Canada.

Where this occurs, personal information may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of the jurisdiction in which it is processed.

WACP will use appropriate measures required by applicable law when engaging service providers.

28. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

WinACashPrize.com may contain links to participating sponsors, public companies, social-media services or other third-party websites.

This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party websites.

WACP encourages users to review the privacy policies of third-party organizations before providing information directly to them.

29. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

WACP may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to its practices, technology, services or legal requirements.

The current version will be posted on WinACashPrize.com with the applicable “Last Updated” date.

Where a material new use or disclosure requires additional consent, WACP will obtain that consent as required by applicable law.

30. PRIVACY ACCOUNTABILITY

WACP is responsible for personal information under its control.

Privacy inquiries, access requests, correction requests, complaints and questions regarding this Privacy Policy may be directed to WACP’s designated privacy contact at:
